A TROUBLESOME CROW seated herself on the back of a Sheep. The Sheep, much against his will, carried her backward and forward for a long time, and at last said, “If you had treated a dog in this way, you would have had your deserts from his sharp teeth. —
一只讨厌的乌鸦坐在一只羊的背上。尽管羊非常不情愿,却载着乌鸦来回走动了很长时间,最后说道:“如果你这样对待一只狗,你就会因为它锋利的牙齿而受到应有的惩罚。” —

” To this the Crow replied, “I despise the weak and yield to the strong. —
对此,乌鸦回答道:“我看不起弱者,只向强者屈服。” —

I know whom I may bully and whom I must flatter; —
我知道该欺负谁,该奉承谁; —

and I thus prolong my life to a good old age.”
这样我就能活到年老。
